I had a great experience at the scenic hotel. My room was modern, clean, and featured a comfy bed that made for a restful night. I really appreciated the spaciousness and the nice table for working. The location is fantastic, with restaurants and shops just a short stroll away, which made it easy to explore the area. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and the breakfast buffet was a nice touch to start the day.
No air conditioning, limited room service choices 😕.

The view of the city was good, as well as very central location close enough to the art gallery as well as the eateries. The room was quite luxurious and airy.

I really liked the central location of this hotel! It was super easy to walk to the Octagon and lots of shopping and dining options were nearby. The staff were friendly and cute, plus I appreciated the ability to open the windows for some fresh air in my room, which was spacious and modern.
My experience was dampened by the fact that my room wasn't ready until almost 5 PM, which was pretty frustrating. I had to wait around, and it only got worse when I realized the food options at the hotel were kinda underwhelming. Not the best overall experience.

Comfortable spacious room. Lovely toiletries in bathroom. Close to good cafes. Staff were helpful.
Bath/shower not completely clean. Missing Sky/TV guide. Weren't asked if we wanted a newspaper on arrival so had to go get one if the morning - room guide was very detailed and we didn't read through everything to find out that we needed to say we wanted one when we checked in. Would have preferred fresh rather than long life milk for tea/coffees.

Location and comfort
The limited options for car parking.valet was good but was inconvenient for access of vehicle. You should have an option for the guest to park their own vehicle in the secure hotel car park . A fee to park is acceptable but the option should be available.

Location to city centre, clean rooms. .
However front counter was really bad when checking in, Lizzie was stressed and did not handle the front desk well. We were not welcomed, nor informed about the hotel, let alone where to find our room. However Riki was a gem looking after our bags the next day, very friendly and helpful

Onvenient location near city centre of Octagon where there are a lot of shopping, restaurants and bars and entertainments.
The bed spring is too soft.Difficulty getting in the bathtub because it is rather tall and there is no place to help handle the maneuver, the glass splash guard is mobile not sturdy enough to help.

Spacious rooms with good views
Staying at Scenic Hotel Dunedin City was a real treat. The staff's friendliness made every interaction a joy, and the spacious room offered amazing views of the city and harbor. I loved the comfortable beds and the quality of the breakfast buffet with just the right amount of delicious options to kickstart my day.
I encountered a limitation with the parking situation, as it was quite tricky to find a spot. The check-in process felt a bit rushed, and a warmer welcome could have.
